I have now been here in Indonesia for a week and a half, almost two weeks – and it’s about time I start my blog! Time to report on my clowning around – with kids smiling in Sumatra and jumping for joy in Java.
It feels like I’ve been here longer already!

- I am an actor, clown and teaching artist based in New York City. Loka Humana is the social outreach wing of my theater company Loka Maer, which consists of none other than myself at the moment. That is, I am Loka Humana. I have been clowning around since the day I was born my family would say, but artistically and professionally, one might say, I discovered clowning at Ecole Jacques Lecoq, where I studied all aspects of physical theater.
