For two weeks I'm off to Bali -- to explore Balinese culture and, specifically, to study mask! This is a separate project (and funded separately) from my clowning around with the kids. Last week of February I return to Jakarta for a few more shows and workshops!
Bali. Beautiful island with beautiful nature and beautiful temples and beautiful ceremonies and beautiful people.

- I am an actor, clown and teaching artist based in New York City. Loka Humana is the social outreach wing of my theater company Loka Maer, which consists of none other than myself at the moment. That is, I am Loka Humana. I have been clowning around since the day I was born my family would say, but artistically and professionally, one might say, I discovered clowning at Ecole Jacques Lecoq, where I studied all aspects of physical theater.
